Canceling Your Subscription
Cancellation and plan downgrades are completed in Stripe. The Subscription page shows warnings when access will end or when a downgrade is scheduled.

Overview
There is no separate cancel button inside WellBooked main UI. Owners manage cancellation, reactivation, and plan changes in the Stripe Customer Billing Portal, reached from Subscription & Costs, -> Subscription, via Open Billing Portal or via Manage Billing, Upgrade, and Downgrade on the plan cards. After you schedule cancellation at period end, the Subscription page may show a Cancellation Scheduled alert with the date access ends; you keep using paid features until that date. A scheduled downgrade to Standard shows a Downgrade Scheduled alert with the date Pro features end. Admins cannot open the portal; they need an Owner. Before canceling, consider exporting data your team needs and understanding that Pro only areas of the app will disappear or hide according to your new plan.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Review impact internally
Confirm with finance and operations: losing Pro removes reservations tooling, analytics, customers, discounts, booking widget management, and related navigation items.
Open Subscription as Owner
Navigate to Subscription & Costs, -> Subscription.
Open Stripe
Click Open Billing Portal or use Manage Billing on your active plan card, or Upgrade or Downgrade if you are switching plans instead of leaving entirely.
Cancel or change in Stripe
Follow Stripe's flow to cancel at period end or immediately per Stripe's options. Complete any confirmation steps.
Read alerts back in Manager
Return to the Subscription page and verify Cancellation Scheduled or Downgrade Scheduled messages and the effective dates.
Tips & Best Practices
Prefer downgrade if only cost is the issue
Moving from Pro to Standard may fit venues that no longer need live reservations while keeping web presence tools.
Watch the effective date
Scheduled changes apply on the date shown in the alert, not necessarily the day you clicked in Stripe.
Keep tax and invoice copies
Archive final invoices for the subscription period you are closing.
Review feature impact before changing plans
Make sure you understand which features will be removed or limited before a downgrade takes effect.
