Managing Time Slots
Shape the bookable clock: base schedule from opening hours, then turn slots on or off for specific days.

Overview
WellBooked does not use a separate time slot settings page. The list of possible reservation times is built from your place's opening hours (Profile and Opening Hours) and the slot interval configured for the restaurant (for example 30-minute steps). For each calendar day, the schedule service materializes slots inside those open windows. On Bookings and Availability you can activate or deactivate slots for the selected date either for the whole day or for a specific time range so online booking matches closures, private events, or capacity pauses without rewriting permanent hours. If a day shows no slots, the product usually means there are no open windows for that date; fix opening hours or pick another day.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Set the baseline with opening hours
Under Profile and Opening Hours, define which days and periods you are open. That determines the outer bounds of bookable time.
Confirm slot spacing
The place's slot interval (configured on the restaurant) controls how finely the day is split. Finer intervals create more start times inside the same window.
Open Bookings and Availability
Choose the date you want to manage. The page loads schedule data: open windows, slot rows, and which slots are active or deactivated.
Activate time slots when needed
Use Activate Time Slots from the toolbar flow. You can turn on the entire day or only a specific time slot.
Deactivate time slots when needed
Use Deactivate Time Slots to block booking for the full day or a specific time slot.
Tips & Best Practices
Change hours for permanent shifts
Recurring schedule changes belong in Opening Hours; Availability tweaks are for exceptions.
Coordinate with the floor
Before mass deactivation, confirm service and events so staff are not surprised when online booking disappears.
Tables must exist
The grid columns come from active tables; add or activate tables under Profile and Tables if columns are missing.
Use targeted slot control, not blanket changes
Adjust specific time ranges rather than disabling entire days to keep booking flow healthy while handling exceptions.
