Overview
The Availability page merges what older specs called calendar and tables views. It builds columns from your tables and rows from the day's materialized schedule slots, plotting bookings into cells. A view mode toggle switches between a compact quick-glance layout and a fuller management layout. Day period filters (morning, lunch, afternoon, dinner, late) help long days fit on screen. Staff can activate or deactivate ranges of slots for the selected day, add bookings, assign or reassign tables, and open the same detail sheet used elsewhere. Unassigned reservations appear in their own section until they have tables.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Availability
Under Bookings, choose Availability.
Pick the date and area context
Set the day you are planning; use area or table filters as the page provides.
Choose compact or full view
Compact suits monitoring; full shows richer cards for each booking in the grid.
Focus a day part
Apply a day-period filter to zoom into lunch or dinner waves.
Manage slot availability
Use activate or deactivate time slot tools when you need to open or close booking windows for portions of the day.
Tips & Best Practices
Resolve unassigned rows first
They represent demand without a physical anchor on the grid.
Coordinate slot closures with marketing
Deactivating slots should match what guests can still book online.
Switch modes by role
Managers may prefer full view; runners may prefer compact density.
Cross-check with Reservations filters
When numbers disagree, verify date and status filters on the list page.
