Understanding Traffic Analytics
Switch between Platform Traffic and Website Traffic to see how guests find your venue on WellBooked versus behavior on your own site.

Overview
Open Analytics, then Traffic. The header period selector (7, 30, or 90 days) drives the Platform Traffic tab: metrics such as unique visitors, SEO and search impressions, views from SEO and search, click-through rate, top traffic sources, and a platform traffic trend. Open the Website Traffic tab for Google Analytics audience data: sessions, users, page views, bounce rate, average session duration, engagement rate, new versus returning users, traffic sources, device breakdown, and top locations. Website audience uses its own period control and can include a 12 month option in addition to 7, 30, and 90 days. Copy on the website tab explains that numbers reflect visitors who accepted cookies, so real traffic may be higher. Standard plan venues do not see Analytics; Owner and Admin only.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Traffic
From Analytics in the sidebar, choose Traffic.
Review Platform Traffic
Stay on the default tab. Set the global 7d, 30d, or 90d period if needed. Scan unique visitors, impressions, views, CTR, and the trend chart.
Check top sources on the platform
Use the top traffic sources section to see which discovery paths contribute most in the selected period.
Switch to Website Traffic
Select the Website Traffic tab for GA4-style audience metrics. Adjust the website-specific period if it is shown (including 12m when available).
Read website metrics in context
Interpret sessions, engagement, and geography alongside the consent note: partial cookie consent can undercount audience.
Tips & Best Practices
Do not mix up the two period controls
Platform follows the main analytics period; website audience can be set separately on its tab.
Trends beat single points
Use charts and week-over-week or month-over-month windows rather than one-day spikes.
After site or listing changes
Re-check both tabs after major website launches or profile updates to see downstream effects.
Pair with Booking Funnel
Traffic shows attention; the funnel shows whether that attention becomes clicks and bookings.
